Job Description

ABH focuses on knowledge management as the enabler and cross-cutting theme across its four major service lines or core competencies: Consultancy, Survey Management, Training and Implementation of projects and programs. 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Actively look for advertised research business opportunities by searching websites, newspapers and related media outlets.
  • Collect ToRs/RFPs from announcing organizations and make available the documents to ABH Core team on time with notification of submission date.
  • Prepare section/s of the technical proposal as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Organize ABH related documents routinely submitted with technical proposals.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of technical proposals by closely working with the Technical and Research directors.
  • Assist in the recruitment of data collectors through screening and communications.
  • Participate in the preparation of training agendas, organization and monitoring of the trainings, organization of field practices.
  • Provide administrative services during trainings – such as taking attendance, managing refreshment, facilitating payments, preparing reports etc.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, take minutes and document and follow up action items
  • Edit and format reports as required.
  • Provide technical and admin inputs to programs/projects implemented by ABH
  • Provide a brief monthly reports on research and program r elated activities of the organization.
  • Compile and archive documents and pictures related to ABH’s activities in research and program areas.

Job Requirements


  • MPH, MSc. Health service management, MSc. in Human Monitoring and Evaluation, MSc. in Human Nutrition and other related fields,  
  • 5+ years in related field of working experience.
  • Fluent both in Amharic and English languages. Knowledge of other local language is plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, secretarial and file handling skills.
  • Excellent report writing skill,
