Green Way Farms PLC (trading under the brand name GreenPath Food) is currently seeking a high-performance individual to coordinate sales and their operations. This individual will shape the future of a young, environmentally and socially-conscious-orientated agribusiness in Ethiopia


Green Way Farms produces and sources premium food products through a network of smallholder Partner Farms in Ethiopia. It connects produce grown by Ethiopian farmers as directly as possible to consumers in high value end markets. The company exports its premium, organic products primarily to the United Arab Emirates and Europe. 

Job Requirements

Mission of Role

To contribute to the growth of Green Way Farms by;

● Liaising with the pack house and production teams, in order to fulfil sales orders

● Managing the administration of all sales

● Coordinating the operations and logistics of all sales travelling from Butajira to clients across the world

● Finalizing sales from Green Way Farms 

What we offer

This role offers the chance to learn and build the skills to coordinate exporting from Ethiopia. It is designed to stretch somebody who wants to learn about entrepreneurship, in a structured way, and who is excited to share the story of Ethiopian Farmers with the world. 

Training will be provided: it is an advantage, but not a requirement, to have managed export processes before. 


Pack house liaison

● Take pre-orders to the pack house and confirm whether they are or are not fulfillable

● Support the Sales Manager to ensure strong communication between the Sales team and pack house and production teams at all times


● Prepare all export documentation required, in good time, for each export and ensure it is successful delivered to our freight forwarder

● Prepare all documentation required, in good time, for presenting our export earnings to the National Bank of Ethiopia

● Prepare all documentation required by the EU, in good time, for the import of organic food products


● Manage the day-to-day relationship with our freight forwarder, taking responsibility for documentation, export handling and temperature control

● Manage the day-to-day relationship with Ethiopian Airlines, taking responsibility for our successful air freight shipments

● Build a network with cold truck companies

● Coordinate cold trucks and delivery vans for product travelling from Butajira to Addis Ababa

● Coordinate security police to accompany all exports

● Manage the day-to-day relationship with various freight forwarders around the world, who will clear our product and deliver it the final mile


● Manage existing relationships with buyers, including generating new orders each week

● Initially, the job will not include making new sales - this can be discussed at interview

Required Qualifications

Green Way Farms believes that candidates who demonstrate the following will perform best in this role.

● A commitment to growing Ethiopia’s international presence and trade

● Experience in delivering on critical logistical processes

● An undergraduate degree from a top-tier university

● Fluent English and Amharic reading, writing and spoken communication skills

● Competency using Excel

This position is based in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to Butajira area every three weeks, for one to three days.
